About the Role

C9 is seeking a Technical Soware Project Manager with a strong prior background in soware engineering or technical delivery who has transioned into project management.

This is not a purely administrave PM role. You will work closely with developers, architects, and clients, translang business objecves into technically sound delivery plans and ensuring soluons are built correctly, not just delivered on me.

You'll manage mulple concurrent client engagements, primarily involving modern soware plaorms, cloud soluons, integraons, data pipelines, and automaon iniaves.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of soware and technical projects, from discovery through to producon release.

• Partner directly with developers, architects, and technical leads to shape delivery plans grounded in technical reality.

• Run structured delivery using Agile/Scrum and hybrid methodologies, adapng pragmacally to project context.

• Own project scope, melines, dependencies, risks, and quality across mulple workstreams.

• Act as the technical interpreter between engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Review and challenge technical decisions where required (architecture, integraon approach, sequencing, feasibility).

• Maintain delivery momentum across compeng priories and resource constraints.

• Ensure adherence to engineering best pracces, SDLC standards, and agreed architecture paterns.

• Lead sprint ceremonies, delivery checkpoints, and stakeholder reporng.

• Drive connuous improvement in delivery processes, esmaon quality, and execuon discipline.

What We're Looking For

This role is intenonally suited to someone who has come from the tools.

Essenal Experience

• Prior hands-on technical experience in soware development, engineering, or technical delivery (e.g. developer, senior engineer, technical lead, soluons engineer).

• Demonstrated transion into project management or delivery leadership roles.

• Strong understanding of modern soware delivery:

• APIs and integraons

• Cloud plaorms (Azure / AWS)

• CI/CD concepts

• SDLC and release management

• Proven experience delivering complex soware projects, not just coordinang them.

• Confidence engaging deeply with technical teams while remaining outcome-focused.

Project & Delivery Skills

• 5+ years combined experience across technical delivery and project management.

• Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery models.

• Experience using delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.

• Ability to balance technical depth with commercial and client priories.

• Comfortable managing ambiguity, changing requirements, and fast-moving delivery environments.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile cerficaon (useful but not required).
